FAQ — PRIVATE BETA

Questions about V-Modal, answered.

Learn how collections, indexes, results and beta integrations fit together.

What does V-Modal do?

V-Modal makes video, image, audio and related text searchable with natural-language queries. Results retain source information so a matching item or moment can be reviewed in context.

How is my media indexed?

A collection can use visual, speech, OCR and metadata indexes depending on its media and configuration. Each index makes a different signal searchable; not every collection needs every index.

Can V-Modal return a clip and time context?

Video-search results can retain source-asset and time context so users can return to the relevant moment. The exact result fields depend on the ingestion mode and integration surface.

Can collections stay separate?

Yes. Searches identify the collection and applicable index rather than mixing every customer's media into one public corpus. Describe any sharing requirements during beta onboarding.

What happens when I add new files?

New media can be ingested and indexed through the applicable collection workflow. Processing time depends on media duration, enabled indexes and available compute capacity.

Does search work without manual tags?

Visual, speech and OCR indexes can make media discoverable without relying only on manual tags. Existing metadata can still narrow and explain results.

Can I integrate search into another product?

V-Modal provides a REST API and supported SDK options for approved beta integrations. The developer page describes the current integration contract without assuming a specific client platform.

How do I request access?

Use the contact page to describe your media, workflow, target platform and search requirements. Beta users are reviewed in small groups so onboarding can test the right collection and indexing flow.
